As the holder of the UK’s National Standards for flow and density measurement, part of the UK’s National Measurement System funded by BEIS, TÜV SÜD National Engineering Laboratory are one of the foremost authorities on flow measurement issues in the world today. Our services are delivered by a team of 80 expert consultants, scientists and engineers utilising the facilities of our accredited calibration laboratory, one of the foremost laboratories for fluid flow measurement in the world.
We are addressing measurement challenges arising from the energy transition to clean, renewable fuels with the development of new primary standards and testing infrastructure for hydrogen. Recent projects include the construction of a portable primary standard for verification of dispensed quantity at hydrogen refuelling stations and a traceable calibration facility for domestic gas flow meters operating with hydrogen or hydrogen/natural gas blends.
